Denver Rescue Mission Harvest Farm
I just want to give a big shout out and respect to the Denver Rescue Mission Harvest Farm. We went there for the corn maze and some good harvest fun not having any idea how cool of a ministry it is. I’ll keep it short, but basically they’ve got 72 guys living there at any time who are recovering addicts or alcoholics. They run the farm and learn to control their life. From their site:
Harvest Farm residents participate in the five-phase New Life Program, designed to help them gain the skills, stability, and self-esteem necessary to become productive, self-sufficient members of society. This nationally recognized rehabilitation program combines academics, Bible study, work therapy, and spiritual and emotional counseling in a curriculum extending up to 27 months.
