Denver Downtown Aquarium
Last night was “Daddy night” so I took the kids to the Denver “Downtown Aquarium” (formerly known as Ocean Journey). After Ocean Journey went bankrupt, it was purchased by Landry’s Seafood Restaurants, and now it’s a restaurant/aquarium.
I was expecting the exhibits to be a bit weak, since it’s now owned by a restaurant but I was surprised to find a very nice aquarium that I will not hesitate to visit again. The exhibits were great, the fish were great, and there was even a tiger.
My kids considered the stingray petting pool to be one of the best highlights of the trip.
The food was good too, and you get to eat in an underwater setting with the fish right next to your table. The aquarium is open late, so it’s very conducive to a dinner/aquarium date situation. Next time I go, maybe it will be on a date with my wife
