Except for my son and one other kid, the team was composed of players who'd never played before. We were the leftovers. We went 0-33 and to me, it often felt like purgatory might, if there really were a purgatory. In spite of it all, most of the kids seemed to have a pretty good time. But it's been nine years since I hung up my whistle and I still haven't gotten over the trauma of it. I hope you have a better experience! I like your ugly blog. But I was reading that ugly Jesus thing, and it reminded me of how some scholars believe the original image of Jesus was actually a Roman looking guy with shortcropped hair. Maybe that is why he looked undesirable to the Roman-hating Jews of the time? What you think of those Gnostics? I researched a little bit into them, about the most insane group of Christians I've ever read, really challenges the faith and all that jazz.
