Hello, I seen your pic with Bethany Dillon ( good for you ). I have become a real big fan of Bethany this past year. I am a drummer and pride myself on my ability to hear the unheard in music. Beth has such a natural talent for time and meter and she grooves well also her joy and love for God at such a young age is beautiful, very insightful. "All I need" really makes me want to move. Dare I say funky . I never payed much attention to American Idol till this year, the musical snob in me had to die. I listen for time and strength in that time, Elliott was by far brilliant and so moving with both the jazz you spoke of and " song for you " . I made it a ritual every tuesday to sit with pad and paper and judge the contestants and Elliott never really let me down. As a musician, I was so happy Elliott made it as far as he did and I felt Kat was weak and pitchy even in the final.. I will say this, at the grammy's when Kelly Clarkson won this year, she first thanked the musicians that played on her album and she gestured to the whole crowd about musicians working hard on everyones album. I fell in love with her in that moment. Sidemen musicians don't get much credit, especially in a society that rewards the pretty girl up front that really has no skill but can dance. I say this in light of taylor Hicks winning and first thanking the musicians.......... American Idol appears to be breeding sincere appreciative people in music and I applaud them for that so, so much. be free and good luck James
